All About My Pregnancy with Baby #2

Sorry I haven't posted in a while! Been a little busy preparing for our baby boy arriving in 2 weeks (or less! ..or more!) Along with preparing for the little man, I've been trying to squeeze in as much one on one time with both my hubby & our daughter, seeing as once little man arrives, I'm sure my attention will be solely fixed on him for the first few weeks! (I know it's a part of life, but it does make me a little sad knowing I won't be able to give as much attention to Lilly anymore.. but like I said, it's a wonderful part of life, letting her experience having a sibling!) I figured since I haven't documented much on my pregnancy with this baby, I'd try to remember as much about this pregnancy & document it so I'll be able to look back at this post & cherish it. I wish I had done the same with my pregnancy with Lilly. Well God blessed me with a pretty easy pregnancy, as He did with Lilly. I wasn't very nauseous at all.. actually I felt more nauseous the first few weeks with Lilly than I ever did with baby#2. In the beginning of this pregnancy, I craved a lot of fast food.. unfortunately, but what baby wants, he gets, haha! Thankfully those cravings were short-lived, and I honestly did not have that many food cravings. The only real "cravings" I really remember have been butternut squash (second trimester), ice cream (third trimester), and occasionally pasta w/ spaghetti sauce. I will say that also in the beginning, the thought of certain foods did not make me "sick," but I just didn't want to be around them. For instance, with Lilly, cooking meat made me nauseous. This time, cooking meat didn't make me feel nauseous, I just didn't have any appetite for it.. so I guess you can say that I just lost a desire for certain types of foods with this pregnancy! Let's see, what's next.. oh, stretch marks. I got a lot of stretch marks this pregnancy as I did with Lilly... but then again, I was a bad person and didn't really apply cocoa butter to my belly either, so I deserve it I guess. My previous stretch marks look like they are getting stretch marks themselves actually, haha.. but oh well, I call them "love marks" because each one is worth it for our babies. On December 19, I felt our baby flutter for the first time. And January 15, I felt him kick for the first time. Both truly amazing feelings! It is cute because both Lilly & her little bro are hiccup babies.. I felt Lilly hiccup while pregnant tons of times, as with this baby, he is always hiccuping, at least twice-three times a day! And Lilly STILL hiccups all the time! Quite funny. What else.. oh, I have tried to keep as active as possible with both pregnancies, with the hopes that being active will help with labor & with losing the baby weight later on. I'm 38 weeks & I gained a total of 20 pounds, as with Lilly I gained 18. I can really tell that this baby will be bigger than Lilly was (she weighed 7 lbs, 4 oz and was 21 inches long).. my belly is bigger all around & I can just tell this baby will weigh more. But you never know, I could be wrong!! My labor with Lilly was 26 hours long.. so I am wondering how labor will go this time around! Everyone has been telling me that your second time goes faster, but the contractions are much more intense, so we will see. I will definitely post a story about my labor later on! I also don't remember feel this much pelvic pressure/pain when I was pregnant with Lilly. Towards the evening, sometimes the pain is crippling. It radiates between my hips, and it is just not fun. BUT it is all worth it! Anyway, I think that covers it! Sorry this looks like one huge paragraph.... I did space out each paragraph but for some reason, this site isn't working properly so it is clumping every paragraph together into one!! =/ We absolutely cannot wait to meet our little son! I feel so blessed!
