Life Lately =)

I can't believe it has almost been THREE whole months since I've last blogged! Sorry, friends! I blame the wonderful spring weather we've been having lately - thankfully winter is over with and I spend most of the day either outside with the kids or going out with the kids. Warm weather really is a mother's best friend when she has energetic children who love being out and about. ;)

Life lately has been fun & busy. My little man will be turning ONE next month! What?! I still can't believe that! And Lilly will be turning FOUR in four short months?! The older they get, the faster time goes by, WHY IS THAT?! Everyone who is older tells me all the time to cherish this time while my kids are so small because the time goes by too fast.. I know, I KNOW, I can see it happening before my very eyes! Still, it's very exciting watching my kids grow & experience new things daily, but I wish I could freeze this time, I really do. I'm truly thankful for every day with them. The days are long with two kids, especially today, but as I sit here in bed typing this, I am smiling & content that I have this "calling" & purpose that God's given me to be a wife & mom.

Ok, so time for some updates on our family. I'll start with this little girl. ;)


-Loves being outside!
-LOVES the park, we live like a minute away from an amazing park so we are always there.
-is doing amazing with letter sounds. I'm teaching her how to read now actually, she is a smart cookie. ;)
-Still protective of her little bro
-Loves going to church to see her friends and learn
-still hates veggies, sad.. but LOVES fruit (especially oranges)
-Loves coloring and painting (just like her mama) We seriously buy a new coloring book every week


-This little guy is starting to stand all by himself (like not just pulling himself up to stand, but standing on his own, using nothing for support!)
-Still is a mama's boy! I can't leave him in the church nursery yet because of his separation anxiety. It's okay, I don't mind.
-Finally slept through the night this past week without waking up once to eat.
-LOVES FOOD!!!!!!! (cheese, crackers, fruit, beans, you name it.)
-Still nurses a few times a day.. working on weaning by 13 months
-LOVES being outside just like his sister. The kid LOVES dirt, such a boy =)
-LOVES playing with bouncy balls!
-LOVES baths =)
-Starting to throw tantrums.. yep, fun fun.

I've still been running & working out at least once a day. I wanted to start training for a half marathon but we'll see how it goes.. you technically need a couple hours a couple times a week to run your long runs and sometimes that's kinda hard with two kids... I normally run on the treadmill then bike a few miles on my brother's stationary bike when my son takes his first nap, and normally I can't go longer than an hour because he wakes up. But a half marathon's still on my bucket list.. there is one next month, maybe I will be crazy and sign up for it. ;)

Well, we found a couple houses recently that we were very interested in. And we put in some offers but unfortunately it did not work out. Honestly I am not even sad, because I've been praying about this for so long and I trust that God has a plan no matter how long we wait. I will let you know though once we get one! =)
