A little bit about our Day

The weather lately has been BEAUTIFUL & perfect. High of 80, low of 50. The windows have been kept open and we have been outside most of every day these past few weeks! I prefer this weather, it almost reminds me a little bit of Autumn. I hate it when it is 90+ degrees all week because I'd rather not have my kids out playing in that type of heat. Everyone's different, but really hot weather is not my cup of tea (unless we are at the splash pad or the pool or the beach!)

A little recap of our day:

- Started off the day with a great run & workout. I notice I am just a much better, happier person all around when I start the day off sweating. Really. I have to admit when I have my one day off from running, things get to me a lot easier & I am more bothered with small things.

- Ran errands with the kids at Kohls & Target. We love those stores!

- Came home & played outside! I love giving the kids a huge bucket of water to play with, keeps them occupied for a loooong time.

- Kids had their naps, I did some quick party planning for Lilly's FOURTH birthday party in a few weeks... then I made dinner. We tried the new Sweet and sour Chicken Helper, I was kind of skeptical at first about it but it turned out amazing. Rich got a ton of them on sale for a dollar... and I ate too much of it ..... .. WHICH is why after dinner, we all went outside again and chased each other around the house sprinting and burned a few calories off, hehe. =)

- I forgot to mention that Rich made a tree swing for Lilly. It is perfect. We were going to get a wooden swingset for free from a friend but turned out it didn't work out. We were able to get the one swing from that play set though! Lilly LOVES it, and so does Lar!

- Came back inside and Lilly did a quick Letter/Sounds lesson since we skipped it this morning because of running errands.

Tomorrow we are going to the BEACH! It will be the first time going this summer.. I know, already August and we haven't gone yet. It's a little tricky with kids sometimes bringing them to the beach. We will see how Lar likes it, but I already know Lilly will love it. Still can't believe she will be four so soon. She is so much fun! I love talking to her and having conversations with her, she is quite a smart lil cookie! =)

Enjoy your evening!
