Lilly has been melting my heart a ton lately. Call it pregnancy hormones, or simply a mother's unconditional love, but she's really been pulling my heart strings lately in such a sweet way. Just tonight she literally asked me if we could snuggle together on the couch. My kid has never been much of a snuggle-bug, ever. She just doesn't like sitting still enough & her love language as a toddler is more quality time than touch. She thrives on the times when I sit with her & play with her, but she's never been one to enjoy cuddling as some other babies have, unless she's sick. But lately I've noticed she loves to snuggle with me. Makes my heart so happy when she wants to, because before I know it she will be a teen and not wanting to do any of that! She's even more aware that there is a baby in Mommy's tummy too & she is always asking to hug or kiss my belly. Hopefully this toddler stage lasts a while because she is being such a sweetie. =)
Anyways, today was one of those cooler-than-normal rainy days.. We didn't do much of anything but stay inside and make the most of it. I got a painting order half way finished, so I feel accomplished! I've been trying to get most of my orders completed before May so I don't have to worry about getting anything done before baby boy arrives. I've been in a semi-nesting stage too & have been organizing the house like crazy. We also ate a YUMMY dinner of baked ranch chicken, rice, & carrots, which totally hit the spot. Did I ever mention how much I love cooking for my little family. Didn't do much else today other than my 150 squats and did weights & now we are all watching a movie. =)
