Power of Prayer

Just a couple little questions for you. How many of you have started off your day with prayer, committing your day and everything & anything that comes across your way to God, good or bad? I know it can be so easy to forget, especially when you have to get up early for work or when your little one comes running into your room, tugging on your arm and waking you up to start the day (I have to admit, I so love it when Lilly wants to come wake up me every morning and spend time with me. One day, she will be old enough where she won't want me as much.. made me cry my eyes out thinking of that one the other day, but that's for another post for another day..)

I know for me, it can be a challenge making time for the Lord every morning when you have so much going on. But I know a few minutes alone with Him in the morning (maybe while your little one is focusing on his/her breakfast) far outweighs the cost of not having your mind & focus renewed for the day. Another question for you.. do you realize how powerful prayer is? God has been opening my mind up to so many of His truths lately, and it's amazing! Can't contain it. Sometimes (ok, a lot of times) I find myself struggling with my attitude or simply being content with life (especially lately, when I've been really missing my family 12 hours away), and the Holy Spirit really convicts me to confess those attitudes to God and ask Him to change my heart. Well, guess what? He loves it when you confess and realize that through only Him, we CAN change into the people God created us to be. I am slowly witnessing my own heart change since I've begun praying for that and all it does is make me more aware of the power of prayer and makes me want to pray more for myself, for my daughter, for my husband, for this world, for everything. You may think I'm totally crazy, and that's fine, but you're missing out, for sure. ;)
