I can't believe how much my two kids are growing & changing each day, especially Lilly. I know I have mentioned this in previous posts, but it really seems like ever since I had little Lar in May, she has changed so much. I don't even consider her a toddler anymore, she is more like a little girl. It makes me sad how fast my kids are growing up, but then again that's the beauty of life, how people grow. I was looking at pictures of Lilly last year and couldn't believe how much she's changed even physically in just twelve months! She is such a blessing to me & Rich, and she really is the perfect definition of her middle name "JOY." It's fun to have full conversations with her and teach her things now that she is old enough to understand what I'm saying.
At the same time I feel so much more responsibility as a parent to guide her & teach her the right things, even simple things like having her understand that making her bed every morning should be a normal routine. I've been going over her alphabet after breakfast with her every morning now & she is getting so much better at letter recognition and sounds. Today she wrote her name for the first time!! I remember a while ago wondering when the day would come when she learned how to write her name.. and now it's here. Even though she is changing day by day, she is still as stubborn, outgoing, loving, social, persistent, & funny as she always has been. No matter what time of day, she loves going outside or going to the store, anything that involves going out and about. She also loves helping out in whatever I'm doing, whether it's cooking/baking something or feeding her little brother when I give him cereal/fruit once a day. She is definitely Mom's good little helper.
Little Lar is changing so much too. It's like he has found his voice & is always babbling on and on now. It's the cutest thing to listen to. "Ba ba ba ba! Ma ma ma ma!" He is going to be a big boy, when he was 5 months he weighed 17 pounds which is 80% so we can already tell he is going to be a big guy! Maybe a future quarterback in the making? =) hehe. It's so fun to watch him explore what's around him and take everything in. Surprisingly he has no teeth yet, but I'm ok with that since I'm not interested in being a chew toy yet. ;)
