Precious Moments

This morning was one of those mornings that, as a mother, you cherish & remember. I woke up an hour earlier than my hubby did, & surprisingly, so did Lilly, who normally sleeps pretty late {since she goes to bed super late..}

As a super-busy, energetic two-and-a-half-year-old, my daughter isn't quite the type that likes to sit still & snuggle with me (unless she's sleepy), but this morning she was all-snuggles. All she wanted to do was sit on my lap, be held, & talk to me. So we ended up sitting on the floor in her room, eating blueberries, & just talking to each other, for a whole hour. It was so sweet, almost like time stood still for a moment & all I could think of was how thankful I was that she was mine. I know in eight weeks or less, there will be twice the hype, twice the loudness, & twice the busyness with a new little baby on the way, so I already know I will rarely get the chance to sit alone with Lilly & enjoy her once her brother comes. I am truly blessed to be her mommy. =)

On another note, my family from CT visited us this weekend for a few days! And as always, more sweet memories were made watching them spoil & love on Lilly. It's a beautiful thing watching your own parents laugh & play with your own child. I am so blessed with such a wonderful fam who loves & cares for her so much. And Lilly LOVES spending them with them, thrives on the time spent with them! It's a daily thing having to accept living so far away from them, but I know it only makes the time together that much sweeter. My wish is that we will one day live in the same state. I hate thinking that Lilly & her brother may only get to see them a few times a year! =/ So don't complain if you live in the same state as your family, because you are pretty blessed!!

But anyway, gotta cut this post short because I have a little girl who is patiently waiting to take her bath! Enjoy your night!

{Oh, and Happy 1st Day of Spring!}
