A few yummy recipes: (haven't tried the banana 'icecream' yet but i am sure it is amazing, according to many sources! Trying it tonight!)
Easy Peanut Butter Cookies:
1 egg
1 cup sugar (i use 3/4 cup.. it is a lot of sugar, i know, but oh well!)
1 cup creamy peanut butter
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix all 3 ingredients together; shape dough into 1 1/4 inch balls on greased cookie sheet. Flatten in criss-cross pattern with fork. Bake about 10 minutes or until golden brown. =) Enjoy! *Warning: these are ad-dic-ting!* At least they are flourless.
Single Ingredient Icecream: (via Pinterest)
4 slightly overripe bananas
2 tbspns creamy peanut butter (optional: probably not going to use the pb tonight)
2 tsps cocoa powder (also optional)
Don't freeze the whole banana or else it will be hard blending it!! Cut each banana into 1/4 to 1/2 inch pieces & place in freezer for about an hour. Put the frozen pieces into a food processor or blender and start pulsing. When the mixture resembles whipped cream, add your mix-ins & enjoy! =) HEALTHY & will definitely soothe my sweet tooth this weekend.
Well, it is Day 6 of potty training Lilly, & I must thank the Lord because I have been praying it goes well and it has been! Only about 4 accidents throughout the entire 6 days with one 'bad' day, but Lilly has been faithfully telling me when she has to go potty & goes, from morning to night. (It is funny, at night I put her in a diaper & she will still come to me late & tell me she has to go potty; I am so proud of her!)
I think the best advice I was given for this new little process is to not be negative whatsoever.. even when your toddler wets her panties in the middle of a store like Lilly did, DON'T make it into a big deal or else you will probably scare them & ruin the whole thing like I did this past summer. ENCOURAGE them & PRAISE them for when they do go potty, & they will get equally excited & go more! =) I am praying that this time, it will finally click; I am determined even though it is challenging! =)
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!!
*oh, found this photo online recently & had to share it because it is so sweet*
"The most important thing a father can do for his children is to love their mother." Isn't that sweet? I agree, though in my opinion, the most important thing will always be to love God first before anything. =)
