Hello, Third Trimester!
Today was the warmest it has been in a while! Seems unreal that we just had 6 inches of snow a few days ago, and this morning at 9am it is 70 degrees out! Lilly sure enjoys it; she is most definitely an outside-baby - loooves being outside & running around & picking flowers & going on walks & finding bugs. Good thing that living in this state makes it feel like summer is just around the corner!
Well, I officially started my third trimester this week! The time has really been flying by! I am so thankful that this pregnancy has been a breeze so far, just as Lilly's was. It was funny because my sweet hubby literally recommended I buy some of that stretch mark cream soon or else I'll be covered in lots more by the time our baby boy arrives! Of course, he loves me the way I look (got quite a few stretch marks..err,love marks, as I call them, with Lilly) but he was just being honest! I can tell he is right because I can't imagine my skin stretching more with still a little less than 3 months to go.. seriously, my belly is hard as a rock & I don't know where the extra skin is going to come from!! I guess that is the disadvantage of being small-framed, you are just destined to get more stretch marks!
I am so excited to meet this baby come May. =) It will be so different, in a wonderful way, having Rich home to experience the newborn stage. Not gonna lie, it was tough having him miss the birth to 6 month stage of his daughter while he was deployed in Iraq. Of course, I loved the newness of being a mom as it had always been my lifelong dream to be a wife & mother, but with Rich deployed, I stressed more about Lilly and if I was doing everything right than actually enjoying her as much as I tried. So you can probably sense how fun it will be for me watching Rich hold a newborn and do all that cute stuff that we as women melt over watching their husbands do! =)
Enjoy your night!
