It's okay to Be a Failure Sometimes..

So thankful we have a perfect God that promises to help us through everything & anything ...just a little thought I've been focusing on lately.

I recently read a Christian parenting blog the other day, & one of the things the author wrote that struck me was how we as Moms try to be the perfect mother & beat ourselves up mentally if we fail; I know that I at least get that way, happened the other day! Parenting is hard, no matter the age or stage your children are going through, whether it is the terrible twos or the teenage years. As a perfectionist in pretty much everything (can be a good thing AND a bad thing!), I really needed to read that God already knows we are imperfect moms & accepts us that way! That's why He is the ONLY One who can really help us through motherhood. I know I mention it all the time in my previous posts, but motherhood really is the most important responsibility I have right now, other than making sure my relationships with God & my husband are growing. Not only do I want to teach Lilly all the 'normal' lessons that all parents should teach, things like manners & eating healthy & having good hygeine, etc.. but I also know the most important thing we can teach them as parents is how to be godly. You don't know how happy it makes me when we are about to eat & Lilly, without me asking, wants to pray to thank God for her food! It melts my heart & shows me that all my attempts to constantly be telling her how important it is to pray, isn't in vain. Kids are pretty smart if you ask me, their minds are little sponges & they remember A LOT of things that you wouldn't think they would.

Well I hope this post encouraged you if you are feeling like a failure lately, which all of us do at times. Remember Who is always a prayer away =)
