So much Joy

This post is dedicated to my two kids. I just love them both so much, and they fill my heart with so much joy. There's days that are wonderful where the kids behave & obey so well, and everything seems to go fast & smoothly; then there's the not-so-good days that are filled with never-ending tantrums, tests, noise, not enough sleep, etc.. Being a stay at home mom isn't always easy, as some make it out to be, it's one of the biggest if not the biggest responsibility and gift to stay at home & train, teach, & nourish your children in the right things. There's days where, I will be honest, Lilly gets on my every nerve with her wild energy and where I want to pull out my hair when baby Richie seems to fuss all day constantly..

But have you ever experienced the moments where things seem to be going just as they should, nothing special, and you look down at your child and time seems to stand perfectly still and your heart is just filled with so much love for them? I had some of those moments today. Lilly was playing with her toys in the sink as usual and when I walked into the kitchen to check on her, I just felt so much love and joy that I was able to be her mom. I didn't even distract or interrupt her, just watched her as she played, and my heart was filled with so much joy. Same thing happens when I hold the baby and he looks up at me and smiles. Kids can be challenging most of the time, but oh how much joy they bring to life.
